I named this Travel Bug in honor of Laika.  This travel bug was launched into near space (100,000 feet above sea level) as part of Sputnik 2010.

Please do not keep me.

About This Item

In 1957, Laika became the first animal in space.

Laika was a Soviet space dog that became the first animal to orbit the Earth and the first orbital death.  The technology to deorbit had not yet beed developed, so there was no expectation for survival.
