Mary-Kate's goal is to be reunited with her twin, Ashley (another traveling can of SPAM) at the SPAM Museum in Austin, Minnesota. Because of their remarkably long shelf life (5-8 years), Mary-Kate and Ashley are in no particular hurry to get to Austin, and would like to see a bit of the world before getting there, so that they'll have stories to tell about their adventures. After their reunion in Austin, the deliverers can eat the cans of SPAM, or they can allow them to continue traveling. Given her ham-like origins, pictures of her at events, with people, or in new places are encouraged.
Mary-Kate is a traveling can of SPAM, the versatile luncheon meat that is fully cooked and ready to eat, hot or cold. Mary-Kate is being released into the wild in the Atlanta area, while Ashley is to be released shortly thereafter somewhere in Florida.
The SPAM Museum is located at 1937 SPAM Boulevard in Austin, Minnesota. (Austin is near the Minnesota-Iowa state line, about 110 miles south of Minneapolis). For more information, visit www.spam.com.
