Captain John Smith GeoTour (GT7)

Over 400 years ago, Englishman John Smith and his crew set out in an open boat to explore the Chesapeake Bay. Between 1607 and 1609, he visited thriving American Indians communities, gathering information about this “fruitful and delightsome land.” In 2006 the U.S. Congress designated these routes as a national historic trail—the first national water trail.
