Geocache Description:

Marching the bottomland woods along the upper reaches of Langham Creek on the former Josie Ranch in search of a jar of "treasure".

The trailhead for the journey, at least for now any way, is the End of the Earth (GCTQJZ) cache. Start south by crossing the ditch to the gravel road. Hike west about a 1/4 mile to a crossroads. Turn south and proceed a little less than a 1/4 mile to reach the north central edge of the Langham Creek bottomlands area. Continue another 200' or so south until you have crossed over Langham Creek via the culvert. Now turn west and begin following the treeline along the south bank of the creek and continue about 1/8 mile. Let loose your GSPr here and let it lead you on the rest of the way. Studying the route in Google Earth and printing out a copy to take along might be a good idea before heading out.

The container is a Laura Scudder peanut butter jar wrapped in camo tape and touched up with spraypaint. Inside is but humble swag, it's large enough for smaller-sized travel bugs.

Expect to hike a roundtrip of about 1.3 miles, shorter if you choose to cross the fallow field. Please equip yourself accordingly, i.e. water, stick, bug spray, etc. Not much bushwhacking will be required, if you stick to the old paths and the cleared areas, but there will be a wee bit toward the very end.

Enjoy your hike!
