Long Black Veil Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

flyingmoose: I came back out here today with the directions memorized in my brain and when I got to the final spot in the directions I noticed the directions were not as good now as they had been due to nature taking it's course. While this is a good spot safe from mugglement I am pulling this one and hope to find a better place somewhere else for it. Funny enough while checking out the contents I was shocked to see some items in there from when I originally hid it 4 years ago in perfect condition, gotta love ammocans! Thanks to all who enjoyed it and look forward to the same container and stamp in a different location not far away.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates above will only lead you to the starting point of this letterbox hybrid. It is located within the confines of the Northern Virginia Reginal Park Authority Land. Please follow the rules of the park and enjoy your visit! Also please do not remove the stamp.

Ten years ago, on a cold dark night
Someone was killed, 'neath the town hall light
There were few at the scene, but they all agreed
That the slayer who ran, looked a lot like me

The judge said son, what is your alibi
If you were somewhere else, then you won't have to die
I spoke not a word, thou it meant my life
For I'd been in the arms of my best friend's wife

She walks these hills in a long black veil
She visits my grave when the night winds wail
Nobody knows, nobody sees
Nobody knows but me

Oh, the scaffold is high and eternity's near
She stood in the crowd and shed not a tear
But late at night, when the north wind blows
In a long black veil, she cries ov're my bones

To find the Letterbox find this point in the park listed above, which should bring you to a trail intersection. Walk on the trail to the S.E. until you get to two very long logs sitting on the right side of the trail. A little bit further up the hill (within the park) is the fallen tree where I was hung, there is where you will find my remains.
