Geocache Description:

The Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Series

This cache was part of the old Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation series. Placed with the kind permission of Essex Waterways, please refer to the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation (GC37P3P) cache for more information on this walk along the canal.

Danbury Country Park is situated only 4 miles from Chelmsford. It is set in the gardens and old deer park of Danbury Palace and offers a blend of walled garden, lakes and woodland. The site offers a site for quiet recreation. Fishing is available on the bottom lake and there are several short walks which are way marked around the site.
