WATSON IN HOLLYFAST LANE Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

wykenwizard: Regrettably this one has to be archived as the lock combination was changed and it proved pretty much impossible to open thereafter, despite an afternoon spent on number input I eventually had to resort to brute force. Another new cache has been placed quite close by and hopefully will be published soon. The original ammo box has also been left at another location some miles away so watch out for the publication of this one too.

The Combination Lock Questions:

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote several stories about Sherlock Holmes in addition to those above. You will need to know a little about some of these to be able to open the combination lock On the lock body you will find a black line. The combination digits must be aligned with this line before the lock can be opened. Please re-lock afterwards.

What was it the sign of ?

How many orange pips ?

How many napoleans ?

How many students ?

The cache is adjacent to a public footpath. A kissing gate and a stile have to be negotiated and you will usually find that horses will want to follow you. They are very friendly so no need to worry. There is a pond close at hand so children should be watched at all times. There are usually 3 geese around the pond area. These are also frindly although a little noisy at times.

Please make sure that the cache is well covered before you leave as there are sometimes dog walking muggles about.
