"Gipfelbuch" am Gipfelkreuz des Eilumer Horns. // "Summit log book" at the summit cross of the "Eilumer Horn".
Ein schöner Brauch, der allerdings eher in alpinen Regionen beheimatet ist, ist es, an Gipfelkreuzen ein sogenanntes "Gipfelbuch" zu hinterlegen, in das sich jeder eintragen kann, der den Berg bestiegen hat. Nun würde das Gipfelkreuz auf dem Eilumer Horn zwar im Gegensatz zu den meisten seiner alpinen Verwandten vermutlich selbst dann nicht weithin sichtbar sein, wenn ein Orkan den gesamten Baumbestand des Elm flachlegen würde, aber das soll ja kein Hindernis sein...
Achtung: Hier können sich nicht nur Geocacher eintragen, sondern auch Vertreter jeder anderen Sportart, die Leute dazu bringt, sich mitten im Elm durch's Unterholz zu schlagen. Deshalb bitte nur eintragen (am besten mit Hinweis auf geocaching.com), aber nach Möglichkeit keine Trades und vor allem keine Travel Bugs oder Coins hier hinterlassen, da sicherlich nicht jedem Besucher, der hier vorbeikommt, die betreffenden Spielregeln bekannt sind!

Though it is much more typical for alpine regions, someone has placed a summit cross on the top of the hill called "Eilumer Horn" in the Elm mountains. An also rather alpine tradition is to have a "summit log book" near the summit cross. Attention: Not only geocachers can log their visit here, participants of all other kinds of outdoor sports are welcome, too. Please mention geocaching.com when logging to show what brought you there. Since not all people who might log here know the rules of the game, you should not leave any trading items here and especially place no travel bugs or coins in the box.
