Saint Regis mountain is located right beside Paul Smith's College on the Keese Mill Road off Route 30. Saint Regis is not a difficult climb, it is 6 miles long and a vertical rise of 1,235 feet - it will take at least four hours for the round trip. The trail is marked with red markers and begins 460 ft. along the gravel drive. At 2 miles or just over an hour from your car you will reach a footbridge over a small stream. A side trail forks to a small meadow just across the stream. This is where the observer's cabin stood, when the old fire tower on the summit was manned. The summit is so exposed that there is a nearly 360 degree view without the use of the fire tower. The cache is a standard green ammo can and contains a flag magnet, wet ones, light-up eraser, ball, geocaching pin, gavel keychain, geocaching pencil, minnie mouse magnet, bic lighter, geocaching magnet, first to find pin, magnetic chip clip, dreamcatcher TB and extra zip lock bags.
