Die Stadtkirche Königstein prägt unübersehbar das Stadtbild von Königstein und ist wohl eines der wenigen Gebäude des Ortes, welches eine Flut nicht zu fürchten hat. Auf dem Weg vom Bahnhof zur Festung Königstein führt kein Weg an ihr vorbei, also schaut sie Euch ruhig mal an! Außen beeindruckt mächtiges Barock, aber innen überrascht sie mit einem griechischen Tempeleingang als Altar: der Innenraum wurde nach einem Stadtbrand im Jahre 1810 im klassizistischen Stil neu gestaltet. Außen sind noch wesentlich ältere Relikte zu finden… aber entdeckt selber!
English Version
The Church of Königstein is the most impressive building of the center of Königstein. It is one of the few buildings, which should not be endangered by floods. From the station of Königstein to the Castle of Königstein you are directed to the church anyway- have a rest and visit the church! Outside the church impresses with baroque style, but inside you will be surprised to find the entrance of a Greek temple as altar, which was built after the fire of 1810. Outside you will find much older relicts… explore it by yourself!

Kostel v Königsteinu je nejvýraznejší budovou v centru mesta. Je to jedna z mála staveb, které nejsou ohrožovány velkou vodou. Od nádraží v Königsteinu na hrad vás tudy stejne cesta povede - zastavte se, odpocinte a navštivte kostel! Z venku vypadá barokne, uvnitr vás prekvapí oltár ve stylu reckého chrámového prucelí vybudovaný po požáru 1810. Uvnitr najdete mnohem starší relikty ... uvidíte sami.
