Geocache Description:

It is a little way off the paved Mt Ainslie walk track. Steepish, rocky terrain.

The container is a large Nutella jar. If you're not familiar with this area, best way to get there is to walk the Mt Ainslie paved path from bottom or top to S 35° 16.420 E 149° 09.328, and head straight down the mountain on the dirt track. From the cache, you can continue down the dirt track to the base of the mountain, and along fire trails back to the base of the Mt Ainslie paved walk track. It's a great walk from the base, but I recommend walking to the top of the mountain for a great view before heading back down to the bottom of the mountain past the cache. For those with mountain bikes, you can push your bike along the paved track. You may try riding the dirt track where the cache is, but it is really rocky, with large jumps, so a good bike, and top skills would be required. There are some great firetrails at the bottom of Mt Ainslie, just keep headding down to the pottom of the dirt track. There is a slight Muggles warning, as this track is sometimes used by walkers, but not too regularly. It could be worth checking up and down the track first, and stepping away from the cache location to open the cache. Enjoy! 2023 edit: I am no longer in Canberra so cannot maintain this cache. A finder has reported the location as different to when i created it. Unsure if i got them wrong back then or if it's been moved. Try: S 35° 16.403'E 149° 09.282' Under fallen Casuarina tree
