Plzen - Hlavni nadrazi
Plzen tvorí významný železnicní uzel, ve kterém se sbíhají trati ze šesti hlavních smeru: od Prahy, Chebu, Ceských Budejovic, Domažlic, Železné Rudy a Žatce. Pocátky železnicního spojení Plzne se svetem spadají do roku 1861, kdy byl postaven první úsek tzv. Ceské západní dráhy z bavorského Brodu nad Lesy do Plzne-Skvrnan.
Plzenské hlavní nádraží je umísteno témer ve stredu mesta a 9 menších stanic je na okraji. Frekvence výchozích, koncících a tranzitních vlaku v prubehu 24 hodin ciní cca 230 vlaku.
Impozantní novorenesancní budova plzenského Hlavního nádraží byla postavena R. Štechem v r. 1908.
Plzen - The Main Station
Plzen (Pilsen) is the important railway junction. The lines come there from the six main directions: from Praha (Prague), Cheb, Ceske Budejovice, Domazlice, Zelezna Ruda and Zatec. The first railway in Plzen was built in 1861, it connects the Bavarian Furt im Wald and the Plzen (Pilsen) - Skvrnany.
The Main Station is situated near the town centre and there are nine smaller stations on the town periphery. 230 trains come through the station in 24 hours.
The architect R. Stech built the imposing Main Station building in 1908.
