Geocache Description:

A small size cache hidden in the outskirts of Haifa, near Haifa University.

The cache bears the name of both the well and the oak grove nearby, which originate from local Druze folklore.

The cache is located a few meters off a hiking trail marked white-blue-white, which makes a nice circular route to give a taste of Mt. Carmel and some views to the north from along the cliff.

(NOTE: please avoid moving stones if unnecessary - they are often home to insects, and at times also snakes and scorpions. If needed, make sure you lift the stone from its far end)

The cache site offers a fantastic spot for a picnic, at a lush, green meadow by an olive tree. At spring time, the place and surroundings are full of colorful flowers in bloom.

One way of getting to the cache site is from road no. 4 (Tel Aviv - Haifa) and turning east at Oren junction to ride the scenic road no. 721 until Damoon junction, where you turn north. Another option is to come from Haifa itself, and take the Aba Hushi blvd. until Haifa University. With public transportation it would be about a 40 minutes easy walk from the last bus stop at the Haifa University campus to the cache site.

The cache is a round clear plastic container, wrapped in a plastic bag to protect from the rain.
