It's Good to Have Choices Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Blond Frog: I really enjoyed this cache and happy that it was found. Not sure there will be many more cachers making the trip out to get this one so I took it down today to make room on the map.

Geocache Description:

**The cache has been replaced with a large container tethered just beyond the oaks. You're hunting an ammo can tucked away and covered Florida style.

I found the original container in the ammo can at my 100th find, Further by IK. That was October 25, 2005...almost a year ago. I've included a photo of Bruno at that site in the gallery.

The cache is located along the Alafia River, in the Alafia River Corridor Nature Preserve. The trail head is located at the end of Old Welcome Road, approximately one mile south of Hwy 640. The Preserve is open during daylight hours, but the parking area is only open from 8:00-5:30. After 5:30, you'll have to park outside the gate.

You've got a choice of two ways to access this cache, the short way and the long way. Both methods are illustrated in the gallery photos. Be warned that these are spoilers. If you'd like to be surprised, don't look...but do bring a towel.
