Waterfall from Above Traditional Geocache

Esta cache vai levá-lo a visitar as bonitas quedas de água de Cabouqueiras da Forja.

Para realizá-la deverá deslocar-se a Balocas, uma pequena aldeia do concelho de Seia, perto de Vide e numa encosta da Serra do Açor. Para chegar a Balocas, deverá utilizar a N230. O percurso inicia-se em N 40º 15.616' W 007º 45.916'. Daqui até à cache são cerca de 30 minutos. Sugiro que estacione no pequeno largo junto ao ínicio do percurso ou então, em alternativa, no largo da aldeia, alguns metros à frente.

O percurso até à cache não é difícil de realizar. A parte final, mais íngreme, parece inclusivé mais difícil do que realmente é. Esta parte do percurso está no entanto um pouco danificada depois do último Inverno, pelo que sugiro um cuidado extra. Volto no entanto a referir que a subida é mais fácil do que inicialmente aparenta.

Durante a subida, poderá apreciar as quedas de água de Cabouqueiras da Forja de várias perspectivas, inclusivé de cima, daí o nome da cache

This cache will take you to the beatiful waterfalls of Cabouqueiras da Forja.

To hunt this cache you'll have to go to Balocas, a small village in Seia's council, near Vide and in the Açor Mountain. To arrive to Balocas use the N230 road. The hike starts at N 40º 15.616' W 007º 45.916'. From this point to the cache is a 30 minutes hike. You can park near this point or a few meters ahead, in the village centre.

The pedestrian hike to this cache is not difficult, though it may seem a little bit harder in its end. Despite of not being too hard, I suggest to be extra-careful in the final part of the hike. The path here is a little damaged after the previous Winter.

During the ascent, you'll have the oportunity to take a look at the waterfalls of Cabouqueiras da Forja from different perspectives, including from above, hence the name of the cache
