This cache has been archived.

Agramone: Unfortunately there has been no response from the owner regarding this cache, and sadly I am forced to archive it at this time. If at some point in the near future the cache is determined to still be present or is replaced, please e-mail me via the link on my profile page. If it still meets the current guidelines, we can discuss unarchiving it at that time.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

This can be found along The Blacktail Creek, paved walking/biking trail in Butte. The trail has some slight elevation changes but can be easily done with stollers or bikes, etc. It does run along a creek and has some bridges and banks so watch small children. There are benches along the trail and also tables so you can enjoy a picnic. The opposite end of the trail will produce a playground if you choose to go the full distance.

We have talked about placing a cache along this trail for awhile because it has lots to offer the family or traveler. The kids like to come and feed/watch the ducks and geese. The area is also a Bird Sanctuary so you can watch for different species of birds. The trail provides several miles to stretch your legs and enjoy some exercise as well as relaxation. There is plenty of parking at The Chamber of Commerce. Also, visit The Chamber of Commerce as it is full of information about Butte and all of it's special treasures.

The first stage is close to the Chamber parking lot. The second stage is same as the first. The final stage is a well-camo'd lock-n-lock. Please do not remove the entire container, as it might be hard to put back in place. The lid should unsnap and come off easily for access to the goodies just make sure it is closed well to prevent leakage. It contains a log book, writing utensils, and lots of fun and sometimes useful trinkets.

Also, don't forget to bring some corn or grains for the inhabitants of the area. They pay very close attention to your presence.

Watch your children around the water and bridges as the stream can sometimes run full and fast.
Also, be careful and aware of yellow-shirt wannabe's as the paved trail can be their race track at times.
