In some woods near Cherry Hinton Hall, to the east of Cambridge. The woods are near to the duck pond.
Cherry Hinton hall was built in the 19th century. Over the years it has been owned by a London financier, a youth hostel, fire service headquarters and, most recently, an arts centre.
Since 1964 the Cambridge Folk Festival has been hosted in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall. The name of this cache celebrates this annual folk extravaganza!
The ornamental lakes created in 1855 attract a wide range of wildlife to the park. You'll be looking in the woods near to the lake.
Parking available in the Cherry Hinton Hall car park, or on nearby residential streets.
The cache is just off a path within the woods, so be sure to hide your nefarious activities from members of the public and keep the cache hidden. It's close to water (depending on how dry the weather is), so care needed with young kids.
I notice that during the summer there are many stinging nettles between the path and the cache. It is still accessible, but care is needed (and short trouseres probably not ideal).
