Please join your fellow cachers in our 2006 GGA Challenge. We try
to make the challenge fun for all levels of cachers. This year we
will be playing Johnnie’s “Bubba Harvest Farm Game” for the
prizes. This is a great game that offers a lot of fun and challenge
and a twist or two. There will be 36 caches in the park for you can
hunt, so you should be able to find one or two. :-) Hehe.
Schedule of Events:
10:00AM –- SHOTGUN START - from the Pavilion, cachers begin to
head out.
12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM -- Lunch – hot dogs/hamburgers cooked on
the grill.
1:00 PM –- Restart for phase two of the hunt.
3:00 PM –- Hunt Ends - all cachers must be back and get their
scores.
3:30 PM -- Prizes awarded and general chat. (Congratulating the
winners and giving those that hid the event caches a hard time. You
know... the usual.)
The GGA will collect $10.00 per GPS to play the Game. This fee
to play will help offset some of the cost of the food, drinks,
paper plates and such things as Pavilion rental and some of the
door prizes.
The coordinates above are for the pavilion where we will start
and finish the event. If you have chairs please bring them. The
pavilion does not have any chairs.
Many thanks go out to the Elachee Nature Center folks for
letting us use their park for our event and for geocaching in
general. We are pulling details together at this time. Please stay
tuned to this page for more information in the near future.
We hope you will come out and join in the fun.
Reminder: bring a camp chair if you have one, as seating is
somewhat limited at the pavilion. Also - bringing your own GPS/PC
cable will improve the chances we'll be able to download the cache
waypoints into your GPS, rather than you having to enter them
manually.
