In Memory of the Members of the 94th Regiment who were killed in
battle.
This is a "quick" roadside cache located near a memorial to the
people killed in the 94th Regiment. Very little is known about this
regiment except that it was one of the shortest battles in the Boer
War with the highest fatalities for the English. It lasted all of
15 minutes and about 82 English soldiers were killed whereas only 2
Boers were killed, one being by a ricoshette (sp?)
bullet.
