Geocache Description:

This cache placed along another classic route - Constantia Corner!

Again, this cache is best done on a clear day, as the views over Houtbay and the flats are fantastic! It's not a particularly difficult walk, but allow yourself some time to soak in the views, because the magic about this cache is in the hike to get there!

Park at Constantia corner and follow the jeep track up until you see the stairs on your left (Waypoint 1). Follow this path all the way to the top until you come out on the road again.
Head left towards Eagles Nest and the road come to a dead end, from here head up the footpath towards Waypoint 2.
At Waypoint 2, turn off to your right (north) and follow the path all the way to the cache!
Make sure you stop at Belle Ombre for a look at the view!
Also just after Belle Ombre is a great shady spot for lunch.

From here you wont even need a GPS! You'll see the Camel Rock across the valley!

The cache isn't hidden in the camel rock, but rather the next large rock formation to the east. You can actually see the hiding spot if you're standing next to the Camel, so please make sure you hide it really well or the bright orange lid might get spotted! :)

Once you've found the cache, you're already on top of the mountain! It's easy from here! Carry on north along any of the paths and you should end up at the De Villiers Dam. There is a tap for water along the road, next to the Overseers Cottage.

To get back, follow the concrete road down, and turn off along the footpath at Waypoint 3. This will take you back to the path where you came up.

If you have any reservations or questions feel free to email me!

Also, the GPS track is available for download from www.gpstravelmaps.com

Load it onto your GPS and that should take care of the directions for you!

Enjoy!
