Geocache Description:

This nano-cache is located in a great spot to look out onto the water and contemplate life.

I have wanted to place a cache here for a long time. The "Shea - Magrath Memorial and Wall of Remembrance" stands quietly in a corner of Norwalk’s public beach. I have walked past this place countless times, taking my son fishing. My wife, Jofish, and I attended the 2006 Norwalk Memorial Day ceremony so we could watch our daughter play in the band.

The two Norwalk citizens, Daniel John Shea and John D. Magrath, both received the Medal of Honor posthumously.

To complete this cache properly, please include an observation from this memorial as part of your log entry. Since this is a nano-cache it is very small. Bring a pen or pencil and something to write on. The log only has room for your initials and the date. Please replace the cache in the same exact location as you found it. Good luck.

Note – during the summer season there are the following entrance fees for non residents: $15.00 per car Monday – Friday before 5:00PM; $20.00 per car Saturdays and Sundays before 5:00pm; and $5.00 per car after 5:00PM seven days a week. If you park nearby and walk in, it’s free.
