TrueCompanion read about the Katwalk in a magazine and she
suggested we make this hike. Fair enough I said and loaded the GPSr
with caches from the area. I checked some maps and didn't see any
caches reachable on the 12 mile round trip.
So like a good boy scout, I came prepared with a small lock and
lock, some travel bugs and log book and hid the box near the
katwalk. That rock face reminds me of the Flatirons near Boulder
Colorado.
When we got home I had an email from Kirkland Explorers
suggesting that I might enjoy this hike. It seems that Novelty
Hunters & Kirkland Explorers just hid one nearby too. So now
there are two caches out there with some pretty good loot.
Have fun! You will need a Forest Service Permit for parking.
Congratulations to the M-family on the FTF.
