M@X Meerkat: We had a run through to the Zoo this weekend to do some maintenance and drops off some coins (Unfortunately before vespax posted). The cache has definately been muggled [:(!].

We are archiving this cache until the Meerkat enclosure has been moved (as per JHB Zoo's published plans), at which time we will publish a new cache to commemorate our new burrow.

This cache had a good run and will be sorely missed.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to M@X's backyard!

This cache is hidden nearby our burrow, the Meerkat enclosure, located in the Johannesburg Zoo.

Muggle activity in the area can be quite high so be sneaky. The cache loaction however is out of sight of the muggles. Due to the under/overgrowth the GPS coordinate may be slightly off, so some searching may be in order.

Entrance fee is R34 per adult, R20 per child and is open seven days a week. Gates close at 16:00, but you can stay in the zoo until 17:00 (sometimes later). Have a look at their website for more information.

The zoo is currently upgrading and is really starting to take shape nicely.
