Geocache Description:

Cache is only a few steps from the parking lot on flat ground

The Decatur Volunteer Fire Department has been growing in leaps and bounds. They recently received a grant for a new building, airpacks, turnoutgear, hoses, nozzles, radios, pagers, handtools and flashlights. One of the best things to happen to them is that in 2006 they were awarded a grant for a new fire engine. The engine will cost over $200,000.00. They are now a modern fire department. The cache will hold a few small items although they might get wet. The log should stay dry inside its container. This is the 3rd in a series of caches near Lawrence County firehouses.
