mars, unser nachbarplanet, ist der vierte planet im sonnensystem von der sonne aus gesehen. durchmesser 6794 km, zwei monde: phobos und deimos (= furcht und schrecken). umlaufzeit um die sonne: 1 jahr und knapp 322 tage. ein marstag dauert 24 stunden und 37 minuten. der rote planet erhielt seinen namen vom römischen kriegsgott, der auch für den namen des monats märz verantwortlich ist, sowie für den des dienstags (frz. mardi, it. martedì). auch das wort martialisch geht auf mars zurück.
in der astrologie steht mars unter anderem für leistungskraft/-streben und die fähigkeit, energie in taten umzusetzen. männlichkeit, selbstbehauptung, bewegung, durchsetzungsfähigkeit. all dies sind sicher eigenschaften, um dieses cacheverwirrspiel hier mitzumachen.
jetzt zum cache: es ist grundsätzlich ein multi, aber ein unlinearer, deshalb kommt das ganze als rätsel daher, auch wegen den logkonditionen. du erhältst ab einer gewissen station (dies sind entweder hinweiskleber oder mikros) mehrere möglichkeiten zur auswahl. du kannst dann selbst bestimmen, welche lokation du als nächstes anpeilen möchtest. ganz nach intuition, glück oder zufall (nicht zutreffendes streichen) wird dein weg entsprechend lang, bis du am ziel angelangst. es gibt über 40 möglichkeiten, diese «installation» zu absolvieren!
notiere dir bitte die buchstaben aller zwischenstationen, an denen du vorbeikommst. für etwas verwirrung ist auch gesorgt, das muss so sein.
parkplätze (weiße zone) sind vorhanden (siehe unten). öv: s18 (forchbahn) ab zürich stadelhofen bis spital zollikerberg (12 minuten), dann noch etwa 500 meter zu fuß.
verräterische logs werden gelöscht! notiere die buchstaben deines weges ins logbuch im cache. im logbuch findest du auch eine tabelle, anhand derer du deine buchstaben umrechnest in einen zahlencode, den du dann hier im log veröffentlichen kannst (diese zusatzinfoaufgabe ist völlig freiwillig). so teilst du dem owner und den andern cachern, die schon da waren, mit, welchen weg du genommen hast.
im mArs befindet sich übrigens eine lösungshilfe für den etwas schwereren juPiter und auch wieder einen code für ein späteres rätselcache. viel spaß, marsmännchen und -weibchen!

mars, our neighbour planet, is the 4th planet from the sun. diameter 6794 km, two moons: phobos and deimos (= fear and terror). it takes about 1 year and 322 days to orbit the sun. a mars day is 24 hours and 37 minutes. the red planet is named after the roman god of war. words like "martial" and "march" (the month) have got the same origin.
astrologically mars is associated with confidence, aggression, male energy, ambition, and impulsiveness (take those to do this confusing cache puzzle).
about the cache: this is non-linear multi with a logging condition, hence a puzzle cache. from a certain stage (either micro containers or stickers) you will have several possibilities to choose from. you alone can decide which location you want to go to next. there are more than 40 ways to reach the final cache!
please note all the letters of the intermediate stages you get to. there is some confusion involved, but that's fully intended.
free parking is available (see below). public transport: s18 from zurich stadelhofen to spital zollikerberg (12 min.), from there it is about 500 metres on foot to the first stage.
perfidious logs will be deleted. note the letters of your way into the log book. in the log book, you will find a table according to which you can encode your letters into a numerical code. you can mention that one in the online log here, if you feel like (this is not a mandatory task). this way the owner and others who have done this cache will know which route you have taken.
you will find a hint for the satuRn cache as well as a code for a later puzzle cache. and now have fun, marsians!
