A roadside cache located close to the 'Giant's Grave', thought to be a Bronze Age barrow that resembles a grave with a headstone (there are other 'graves' nearby). The remote fell road here gives access to walks onto the Woodland Fells and provides an enjoyable drive, superb views to the southern and western fells too. There is space for one car to park close to the Giant's Grave, also there is a grassy area with space for several cars just up the hill. The cache area is an attractive area of brackeny fellside with some nice rocks and a beck running down from the fells nearby.
Although the cache is right next to the road a beautiful short walk to Blawith Knott and Tottlebank Height is highly recommended.
The container is a pill pot containing log and pencil. Please ensure it remains well hidden.
