Geocache Description:

This is pprass’s entry for the “Fun & Exciting Caching Activity 2006” and we hope that the kids as well as adults have some fun finding it.
The first clue may be a bit tricky to locate, but if you have to, have a look at the scrambled hint and you should be able to work it out.

Note: There is absolutely no need to pull or rip out any of the vegetation, stumps or logs to locate the first clue. However you will need to go into the scrub for 5 metres or so.

Location
The cache is located in one of our favourite spots on the bay. We used to launch our boat from here nearly every Saturday for a few years.

The Cache
How long is a piece of string?
Never really understood this phrase because isn’t it as long as the one that you want/have? Just measure it. That’s how long it is!

So too with this cache – just measure the piece of string that you will find hidden at the posted co-ordinates (to the nearest centimetre). Once you have the length of the string, use it to calculate the final location of the cache.

Length = AB cm (note: it seems as though the string has stretched a bit since it was first installed. To help future cachers, the length should end in a zero.)

Co-ords are: S37° 58.((AB x 2) – 57), E145° 00.((AB x 10) +12)

The cache is a regular sistema box hidden not too far away.

Please bring a tape measure unless you are good at working out lengths with your GPSr or fingers.
