Cache is located a short distance from the abandoned Peck Mountain Lookout. This lookout is adjacent to my Grandfather's old ranch (OK Ranch). At one point in history he was partners with Pecks whom the mountain is named after.
The cache is a 30mm ammo can and contains a 1907 American "V" nickel as well as the usual stuff.
Along the old road to the lookout is a small wooden cross attached to a tree (N44 51.919 W116 36.96). This is the site of the death of a local rancher.
A high clearance vehicle is required. The old road to the lookout is closed during hunting season to protect the critters.
