Denne cache er lagt i forbindelse med eventen "Sol over
Als".
I Sønderjylland findes der ca. 75
frivillige brandværn, heraf 14 alene på Als. De første
frivillige brandværn blev oprettet under "tyskertiden" i
1870'erne. Efter genforeningen fik traditionen lov at bestå. I
dag eksisterer brandværnene under foreningsvilkår, og udfylder
ud over de rent brandslukningsmæssige opgaver, en lang række
sociale og kulturelle funktioner på det lokale plan. Det
fælles motto for de frivillige brandværn er: En for alle -
alle for en. Gud til ære - næsten til værn.
Denne cache er placeret ved Hundslev Brandstation. Som en ekstra
waymarkingopgave, vil alle, der som den første finder koordinatet
for en af de andre brandstationer på Als, blive hædret på denne
side. Der er en præmie til den der ved eventen "Sol over Als"
finder koordinaterne på flest alsiske brandstationer.
