This multicache starts in Genadendal and ends close to the village.
Genadendal, the valley of Grace, nestles at the foot of the beautiful Riviersonderend Mountains.
It is the home of the oldest Mission Station in South Africa, started in 1738 when Georg Schmidt, a Moravian, settled in the area.
Today Genadendal has some 3500 residents.
Around the Church Square are numerous museums of great interest but these require a small entrance fee and are only open at the following times: Mon-Thurs 9-1 2-5; Fri 9-5.3.30; Saturday: morning only.
Park at the above co-ordinates,where you will find the beautiful Church and the Bell Tower and enjoy a walk along the "Wandel Pad" around this amazing area.
