It is one of the smallest water reservoirs of the region. At the
same time it is located at a heighest altitude of all water
reservoirs that belong to Banska Stiavnica mining water system. The
water from this reservoir was originally used to power mining
equipment. Later it was also used as a supply of fres water for
local residents.
