This fort is quite old but is in almost near perfect condition still. Many visitors visit this site daily.
There is a coffe shop (co-ords) provided nearby to go for a cup before or after the find.
This is the perfect place to park your vehicle and walk from here to the cache. It is located on the Kerry Way Walking Route.
The coffee shop doubles up as a B&B and they have a very friendly dog who loves to play ball with the visitors..
We recommed the following way to do this cache:
Park at cafe. Walk on small country road to "Trail 1", then leave the road and follow the Kerry Way to the cache. Find the cache (hopefully), then continue uphill on the Kerry Way, enjoy the view from near the cache (highest point) and keep going as far as "Trail 2". At this stage it's back to the road. Walk back to the cafe. This round should take about 30-40 minutes. Of course, people with no time could park at "Trail 1", grab the cache and run. After the walk I would suggest to drive up to Staigue Fort and back again for a tea or coffee.
We'd like to thank Marcus for relocating the cache and fixing it up for us. It is hugely appreeciated.
There is a lovely folder of pictures from our country for you to peruse but please leave this behind. Please leave something special / unique from your country in this cache
A Special thanks goes to Marcus who has so kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. We really appreciate this. Thank you.
