Was geht ab?
Wir treffen uns am 5. August 2006 um 9 Uhr am
Kieferhölzer Teich zu einem gemeinsamen Frühstücksbuffet. Kaffee,
Wasser und Säfte stellen wir. Für das Buffet bringt bitte etwas zu
Essen mit. Bitte gebt bei der Anmeldung an was Ihr mitbringt damit
jeder sieht was da ist und was evtl. noch fehlt.
Bis 10 Uhr soll die Registrierung abgeschlossen sein, denn dann
verteilen wir die Cacheunterlagen: altmodisch - Papier, schwarz auf
weiss. Unser aktuelles Ziel ist es mindestens 12 neue Caches in der
Umgebung zu legen die an dem Tag des Events freigeschaltet werden.
Es wird für jeden was dabei sein: von den einfachen am Wegesrand
bis zu den Multis für die man die erweiterte Cachergrundausstattung
braucht. Denkt daran das es hier viele Chancen gibt sich nass zu
machen...
Ihr habt dann folgende Optionen, auch
kombinierbar:
- Freies Cachen
Ihr cacht wie Ihr wollt, nehmt nicht unbedingt an den Wettbewerben
teil. In diesem Fall entnehmt bitte den gefundenen Caches keine
Unterlagen/Gegenstände die zu den Wettbewerben gehören.
- Cache Zone Poker Run 2006
Dieser Wettbwerb wird durch Cache Zone gesponsored. Jeder kann
teilnehmen. Mehr Details unten.
- 1. Harzer Cachathon
Am Cachathon können Teams von 3-6 Personen teilnehmen. Pro Person
ist ein Startgeld fällig. Mehr Details unten.
Abends ab 17 Uhr treffen wir uns dann in einem
Restaurant (N51°47,729´ E010°18,094´) wo wir den Tag ausklingen
lassen. Teilnehmer der Wettbewerbe müssen bis 18 Uhr da sein, sonst
kommen sie nicht in die Wertung. Speisen und Getränke zahlt jeder
selbst. |
Wasssup?
We meet on August 5th, 2006 at 9AM at the "Kieferhölzer Teich"
for a breakfast buffet. We provide coffee, water and juices. We ask
the locals to bring some food items to share - it will probably be
enough so that foreign visitors don't necessarily need to
contribute something. But maybe there is some small specialty from
your country that you can bring?
Until 10AM registration should be completed and we will hand out
the cache listings the traditional way: paper, black and white. We
expect to have at least 12 new caches for the event, from easy to
hard. Note that there are lots of possibilities in this region to
get wet... We will provide English listings upon request. Please
let us know in advance if you need English cache listings.
You then have the following options, also

do not remove any items for the competitions from the

1. Harzer Cachathon
Teams from 3-6 persons may participate in the Cachathon. A start
fee is required for each participant. Details below.
Starting at 5PM we meet at a restaurant

the Cachathon and Poker Run must be here by 6PM latest. Everybody
pays for their own food and drinks. |

Preise für den "Cache Zone Poker Run". Jeder der zum Event
kommt kann teilnehmen.
In einigen Caches (welche wird beim Start bekanntgegegeben)
werden sich Spielkarten in versiegelten Umschlägen befinden. Wer am
Poker Run teilnimmt muss bestimmte Caches besuchen und von jedem
einen Umschlag/Karte mitbringen. Die Umschläge werden erst Abends
gemeinsam geöffnet, die höchste Poker Hand gewinnt. Es gibt Preise
für die 3 höchsten Pokerhände.
Einen weiteren Sonderpreis gibt es für die weiteste Anreise
(Entfernung zu Heim Koordinaten). |
Cache Zone Poker Run
Cache Zone donated prizes
for the "Cache Zone Poker Run". Anybody coming to the event may
participate.
In some caches (which ones will be announced) there will be
sealed playing cards. Participants of the Poker Run must visit
selected caches and pick one sealed card from each cache. The seals
are broken in the evening at the restaurant to determine who has
the highest poker hand. There are prizes for the three highest
poker hands.
An additional price is available for the participant making the
longest journey for this event (distance to home
coordinates). |
1. Harzer Cachathon
Für die, die es etwas sportlicher lieben haben wir das
Cachathon, die Teilnahme ist absolut freiwillig. In den neuen
Caches (ausser Micros) werden Cachathon Punktekarten liegen. Jedes
Team, das einen Cache findet, darf sich EINE Punktekarte
herausnehmen. Die Preise werden vergeben nach Anzahl der
gesammelten Punkte. Wieviele Karten mit welchen Punktzahlen in
welchem Cache liegen richtet sich nach Schwierigkeitsgrad und wird
in den Unterlagen veröffentlicht.
Die zulässige Teamgrösse beträgt 2-6 Personen. Während der Suche
hat ein Team zusammenzubleiben (Aufteilen des Teams um mehrere
Caches gleichzeitig anzugehen ist nicht zulässig). Wir empfehlen:
nutzt diesen Wettbewerb um andere CacherInnen kennenzulernen und
bildet Teams mit CacherInnnen die Ihr noch nicht kennt (z.B.durch
Absprache hier in den Logs oder spontan bei der Anmeldunge morgens
am Teich).
Die Startgebühr pro Wettbewerbteilnehmer beträgt 4 Euro. Preise
gibt es für alle Teilnehmer die die Startgebühr bezahlt
haben. |
1. Harzer Cachathon
For those who prefer caching with the touch of
a competition we have the Cachathon. Participation is
voluntary. In all new caches (besides Micros and Nanos) we will
place Cachathon point cards. Every participating team finding a
Cache may retrieve ONE point card from the cache. Prize giving is
by number of points accumulated. How many cards with how many
points are in each cache varies, check the cache listings for
details.
To participate form teams from 2 to 6 persons.
During the cache hunt a team must stay together (splitting to go
after more than one cache at the same time is not allowed). We
recommend to use this event to get to know other cachers: form
teams with others that you have not yet cached with.
The fee to participate in the Cachathon is 4
Euro per participant. Prizes are given to all participants that
paid the fee. |
Vorbereitung: Trades, Geocoins und TBs, Übernachtung
Wie immer gilt an den Caches "Trade Up" or "Trade Fair".
Überlegt Euch rechtzeitig was Ihr zum Tauschen mitbringt. Das gilt
hier auch für Geocoins und TBs.
Jeder von uns gelegte Cache (ausser Micros und Nanos) wird
vernünftig bestückt sein und neben den Trade Items mindestens
enthalten: eine unaktivierte Geocoin, eine aktivierte Geocoin,
einen aktivierten TB. Bitte auch diese nur fair Tauschen.
Wer im Harz Übernachten möchte braucht nur mal in Google Earth
die Option mit den Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten einschalten. Dort
werden viele Hotels und Pensionen angezeigt. Ansonsten gibt es auch
Web Seiten wie

und www.tourisline.de (als
Suche den Ort "Clausthal Zellerfeld" eingeben) die Zimmer zum Teil
unter 20 Euro vermitteln.

Be prepared: Trades, Geocoins and TBS, Accommodation
As usual for cache trades: "Trade Up" or "Trade Fair". Prepare
yourself in advance with appropriate trade items. For this event
this also applies to Geocoins and TBs.
Every of our newly placed caches (besides Micros and Nanos) will
have appropriate trade items and will also have at least one
inactivated Geocoin, one activated Geocoin, and one activated TB.
Please also trade these fair.
If you need accommodation, open Google Earth and check the
option to display hotels/motels/pensions. There are many in the
area. An English web page with local hotels and pensions starting
at below 20 Euro is
