Geocache Description:

Thames Path - All Saints' Church at Bisham

Bisham village, which has been known by various names down the centuries, was recorded in Domesday with its villagers, cottagers, slaves, vines and meadowland.

A church was also recorded there, no doubt on the beautiful riverside site of the present building, the oldest part of which is the 12th century tower.  The parapet, battlements and brick quoins were added in the 15th century.  The tower contains three bells dating from 1840.

The best views of the tower can be had from the Thames Path, close to the cache site.

The cache is situated right on the Thames Path, close to a footbridge.  Nearest free parking is probably at the top end of Lower Pound Lane, Marlow, where there is space for a few cars to the side of the lane adjacent to the sport field.

You are looking for a camo snap-lock container, containing the log, pencil and a few swaps.  Please be covert when replacing the cache as this can be a very busy stretch of the river in summer months.

Good luck!
