It's A Lock Out! Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on Farleton Fell, which is an area of extensive limestone pavement - so there’s lots of nooks and crannies to hide things in! The Gremlins have had this idea for a while, but it’s taken quite a bit of time to think it through and get it sorted, but at long last it’s here and ready.........

This is a multi cache with a difference. It is not a cache to be bagged in 5 minutes. This is a cache for the more refined geocacher who enjoys a good challenge. You’ll have to have that die hard geocacher motto of ‘I will find the cache if it kills me’!!!

The cache should take around 2 hours with walking and figuring things out. Only 1 set of geocachers can do this at a time! So take this into account when attempting this cache. We don’t want to ruin the surprise, all we will say is try and be inconspicuous. This may be easier said than done - you’ll understand once you’re there!

There are a few things to point out about hazards of the area. Please be careful whilst clambering around on the limestone pavement - it can get slippery when wet - so please enjoy yourselves safely! Everything is always hidden in a sensible location that just requires the removal of one of two rocks – so don’t go dismantling everything! Please place everything back as you found it. Also be careful with the deep cracks of the limestone, you don't want to lose your valuables!! Remember that your GPS takes you as the crow flies, so you should take this into account when route finding. You can make it as scrambly, or not so, as you like but most of all have fun!

We’ve put some good prizes in this cache to award you for your efforts but please swap goodies like for like so all cachers get a good souvenir - we don’t want to end up with twigs and leaves

If you want to load up photos please make sure they don't give anything away about the cache itself, the challenge or the location!! It's good to keep up the suspense and allow all cachers to enjoy this puzzle without spoiling it. Sorry to sound bossy, it's just we've put a lot of effort into this cache and therefore, want everyone to enjoy it to its full potential. You can always send us the photos and we can compile an album of you guys with the cache etc. We can send you our e-mail address should you wish to send us anything. Just get in touch! We look forward to seeing and hearing from you!

Right then, when you get to the box you’ll find it covered with rocks, look for the CLUE!! This is all you’re getting - well, we did tell you we weren’t going to make it easy!

Happy Hunting
