A (normally) dry canyon which leads to a nice outlook over a valley. Access is via an existing foot track. It is not necessary to leave this track at any time and no bush bashing is required.
On the Glow Worm Tunnel road you'll find a car park at S33' 15.490/E150' 13.126. From here follow the walking track to the start of the dry canyon at S33' 15.454/E150' 12.823. A large gum tree is in the mouth of the canyon. There are some small climb/scrambles where it may be necessary to assist any geokids (and maybe the odd geoadult) however nothing too difficult. The hardest is just after the start and can be avoided by a path going up and around to the left. There is also a steep slope and some drops at GZ at canyons end.
Points:
1. GPS coverage in the canyon itself is poor to non-existent. Just follow the track through the canyon to the end.
2. GPS coverage at GZ is acceptable but not terrific.
3. A torch while not necessary may be handy in some parts of the canyon.
4. Whilst this canyon is normally totally dry, do not attempt during or after heavy rain in the area.
