Relaxing # 7 - Skimming the River Traditional Cache

Park on the side of the road.

This is a series of relaxing and/or refreshing areas around the city.
Once the river starts to rise please be careful when attempting to do this cache. Also watch for rain clouds in the summertime.
Even though this is a local hang out for skim boarders, you will often find families coming here just to relax as well.
Wading was required to grab this cache, but the water is quite refreshing. Make sure you carry your shoes to the other side, 'cause there is a small walk and the sand can get pretty hot. If you don't want to get your feet wet , you can get to it from the South of Skim
On the river there is a retaining wall that has collected the sand, making it nice to walk on and skim board on. Take some time here and enjoy the water and sand. Build a sand castle or whatever, play in the water, watch or learn how to skim board
