CrossOver Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Brynric: Sad to say, I think time is up for Crossover. The crossing point has been badly damaged, either by vandalism or an obese bunny bounding across. As it hasn't been found for several months I think its time to remove it rather than wait for repair.
Many thanks to all the visitors, I hope you enjoyed the walk. There was a fine collection of trading items by the end. they will either be used in a new cache or placed into other finds. If I can find any that aren't micros.

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a trio in my local area designed with a theme in mind. Each one, I hope, offers a different type of challenge. They should make you cross, but not angry.

The cache is hidden in quiet and extensive woodlands that form a crossover point in several ways. Its possible to enter the woods from Worcestershire and emerge in Warwickshire…remember to waypoint your parking. There are actually two different woods, though the demarcation is not always easy to spot. The woods also mark a crossover between the past and present. There is still lots of evidence of the commercial logging that has gone on in the past. Now however there is far more chance of spotting wildlife. Rabbits and squirrels abound (forgive the pun) and there is a very good chance of spotting deer and fox. Please log any sightings.

As for the quest, there are lots of access points to the woods, some would give a shorter walk than others. Pushchairs would find it difficult. Leaf cover is extensive in the summer but there are open areas near the cache which should help with readings. There is no need to leave the footpaths but some can be quite muddy in wet conditions.

Please feel free to use the camera.
