Geocache Description:

A nice ride along the Great Allegheny Passage (Yough River Trail). Starting at West Newton and ending in Dawson.

Each cache along here has a short history in with the log book about the different industries that were along the river. There is no need for bike locks since you have a clear view to the trail.

The cache is a four part multi with a large micro(ice tea container) that has the cords for the first cache. The next two cords are on the inside on the ammo can lids.

You can score a find by finding only the first ammo can. Please in your online log post the cache number (exmp:1,2,3) you made it to.The first cache is a 9 mile round trip, the second is 24 miles and the third is 42.

There is a way to hike to the micro and the first stage by parking at Cedar Creek which is only a two mile back and forth trip

The micro is by the Old Indian Post Office (A Liesagang Formation) which is weathered sandstone that looks like rusted pipes. The micro has been moved. It is now 3 feet off the trail, just to the south of the cords.( I hope this micro doesn"t fly away.)
