This is at an old scout campground on a saddle of Y-mountain. Follow some man-made and animal trails up. You may be on your backside coming down. You go straight up and down the mountain and through a ton of scrub oak.
The cache is in clear rubbermaid container under a couple rocks around the fire ring. It contains a flashlight and a key-ring carabiner. Above you in the cliffs (1+ hour hike) you may find some interesting "caves" (around the orange copper looking stain on the mountain). Be warned however that that portion of the hike is very difficult (5) and there are no trails.
