Geocache Description:

A short walk Not Far from Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre.

The cache is placed on the Greenway, the old railway line that has been converted into a local amenity, a cycle and foot path. It links with several other cycle paths that will take you along the Avon and out as far as the Cotswolds.

Parking can be found at N52 11.038 W01 42.872 (SP 19615 54010) though this is limited. At peak times the path can become very busy.

The cache is a small plastic capsule bottle with a variety of small items. The neck allows e.g. TB dog tags, but geocoins wouldn't fit. Please don't try to wedge large or heavy items into it as they will be difficult to remove.

The cache itself is located at Stannal's Bridge, where the old railway bridge crosses the Avon. The fun is in locating the cache itself. Once you realise the mode used to hold the cache in position, it should be easy to grab it quickly without attracting the attention of muggles but please be careful not to let it slip. I have twice had to rescue it from the underworld ;-(

FTF honours to Feathers McGraw.

UPDATE 19/01/2014: Piratomania visitors noted the absence of the cache in late summer. Someone kindly added a temporary cache which was later moved and there appears to have been a third container added later so it's not surprising things were confusing. One micro is still unaccounted for "a 35mm film pot, on right side of bridge, behind a 90 degree piece of vertical grey steel". If anyone finds this please put the log and any items into the new container. All should now be OK and the clue matches the position once again.
