Tivemos tempo mais do que suficiente para recolocar esta cache, mas infelizmente a manutenção tornou-se problemática, embora Alfama seja muito bonita e carismática, e sem dúvida merecedora de uma visita.

Agradecemos muito as vossas visitas e todos os vossos logs, e esperamos que apareça uma solução mais adequada para revelar Alfama ao mundo do geocaching.

We had more than enough time to replace this cache, but unfortunately the maintenance has become problematic, although Alfama is very beautiful and charismatic, and certainly worth a visit.

We thank you for all your visits and logs, and we hope a better solution appears to reveal Alfama to geocaching world.

Alfama é um dos bairros mais típicos de Lisboa, com os seus sons, odores e fantasmas de uma Lisboa desaparecida. Alfama is one of the most typical quarters of Lisbon, with its sounds, odors and ghosts of a disappeared Lisbon. On its narrow streets alleys and courtyards you'll find the hidden treasure of Alfama and on its Fados you will hear the genuine soul of the deep Lisbon.

A cache final está em N 38 42.ABC W 009 07.DEF Para encontrar o valor para A, B, C, D, E e F, terás de ir a seis pontos diferentes e executar alguns cálculos muito simples. Não te preocupes, não tens de incluir uma calculadora de bolso no teu equipamento de geocaching ;) O sinal de GPS é muito fraco em alguns pontos, por isso resolvemos facilitar-te a vida publicando aqui a toponímia local. Não tens de percorrer os pontos na ordem aqui apresentada. Usa a tua experiência com geocacher para escolheres a maneira que achares mais fácil. Então vamos a isto...		The final cache is in N 38 42.ABC W 009 07.DEF To find the value for A, B, C, D, E and F, you will have to go at six different points and to execute some very simple calculations. Don´t worry, you don't have to include a pocket calculator in your geocaching gear ;) The GPS signal is very weak in some places, therefore we decide to become your life more easy publishing the local toponymic here. You do not have to run the points in the order presented here. Use your geocacher experience to choose the way to find it more easily. So let's do it...

O Largo de São Miguel é provavelmente a alma de Alfama. De frente para a igreja, conta as gateiras (janelas estreitas) existentes na fachada principal. Para tua referência, essa quantidade será metade dos degraus da escadaria principal. Esse é o valor "D"		The "Largo de São Miguel" is probably the soul of Alfama. Front for the church, it counts the small narrow windows existing in the main façade. For your reference, this amount will be half of the steps of the main staircase. This is value "D"

O Pátio do Prior liga a Rua de São Miguel ao Beco das Cruzes, mas não está identificado. Provavelmente terás de perguntar, mas é fácil de encontrar. No terraço mais elevado, junto ao arco com uma cruz, encontras o Lavadouro Público que ainda funciona em pleno. A soma da quantidade de janelas quadradas do lavadouro viradas para esse terraço com a quantidade de portas na mesma fachada é o valor para "B".		The "Pátio do Prior" link the "Rua de São Miguel" to the "Beco das Cruzes", but it is not identified. Probably you will have to ask, but it is easy to find. In the highest terrace, near to the arc with a cross, you find the "Lavadouro Público" that is still fully working. The addition of the amount of square shaped windows of the "Lavadouro Público" facing the terrace and the amount of doors on the same façade is the value for "B".

O Largo do Peneireiro liga a Rua da Regueira e o Beco do Loureiro, e existe nele um prédio forrado a azulejos. Metade da quantidade de janelas nesse edíficio é o valor para "C".		The "Largo do Peneireiro" link the "Rua da Regueira" to the "Beco do Loureiro",and exists there a building lined nice portuguese tiles. Half of the amount of windows in this building is the value for "C".

O Beco do Alfurja tem o acesso pela Rua da Regueira. A cerca de 20 metros para dentro do beco existe um painel de 15 azulejos produzido pela Fábrica de Cerâmica Viúva de Lamego que representa a Nossa Senhora da Conceição. A quantidade de faces humanas (incluindo a da Santa) é o valor "E".		The "Beco do Alfurja" have the access by the "Rua da Regueira". About 20 meters inside the alley there's a panel of 15 tiles produced by "Fábrica de Cerâmica Viúva de Lamego" that represents "Nossa Senhora da Conceição". The amount of human faces (including the face of the Saint) is the value"E".

O Largo de Santo Estevão é a zona circundante à bela igreja com o mesmo nome. Sobre a porta principal da igreja existe uma data. O valor para"F" é o dobro do útimo dígito dessa data.		The "Largo de Santo Estevão" is the surrounding zone of the beautiful church with the same name. On the front door of the church there's a date. "F" is twice the last digit of this date.

O Beco do Vigário liga a Rua do Vigário e a Rua de Santo Estevão e confronta com um parque infantil rodeado de árvores alinhadas em duas filas. A quantidade de árvores da fila mais numerosa é o valor para "A".		The "Beco do Vigário" is the link between the "Rua do Vigário" and the "Rua de Santo Estevão", and it binds with a kids playground with trees lined up in two rows. The amount of trees of the most numerous row is the value for "A".
