Geocache Description:

The Sentinel proudly stands guard over Houtbay, but it is a peak visited by few!

This is a magic walk followed by a great view all around!

There is a path that goes up from the saddle on the Western side of the sentinel and is marked by cairns. It is decent walk but does require some minor rock scrambling.
Should you request the track for your GPS, please feel free to contact me and i'll send it your way!

The cache is located under the large flat rock on the east of the beacon. You'll need to go down the side of this rock on the southern side and look in the crack at the bottom. The cache is hidden at the rock with the eyes!

Please place this rock back when you replace the cache.

Also, depending on the swell, have a look down to Dungeons surf spot, where the big wave surf competition is held!

Enjoy!

Added note
Great bit of advice as posted by Skermukels: When you park your car at the bottom, take 2 minutes to chat to the local residents and ask them if it's okay to park outside their house, not for safety, just out of consideration and friendliness. A little goes a long way.
