Due to popular demand we have arranged this event so cachers from
further afield can enjoy caching in Oxford without having to travel
excessivley on the same day.
The camp will take place at Greenhill Farm Caravan and Camping
Leisure Park, which lies half a mile West in the village of
Bletchingdon. It is 3 miles from the A34 and 5 miles from the M40
Motorway.
There are various caches nearby, and travelling to the Dreaming
Spires Event on Sunday should take about 15 minutes!
***THE
CAMPSITE***
There are numerous pitches with electric hookup, and has
hardstandings for Motorhomes and caravans. Children are well
catered for, with a play area, football goal, rugby posts and has
converted a barn to house tables and chairs, board games, pool
table, Bar football and 2 Table Tennis tables.
Dogs are welcome and they have a separate walking field
allocated.
The Shower/toilet facilities are new and very clean, as is the
washing up area which also has all laundry requirements. As with
most campsites BBQ's are allowed as long as they are on stands.
We have arranged with the Site owners to reserve 10 pitches
although they are happy for this to increase, if a larger interest
is shown.
Bookings can be made direct on the camp's webpage, no deposit is
required, and in the special notes please state you are part of the
Geocaching Group, and this will ensure we are all kept together.
Phone bookings are also welcome. Payment can be made once at the
site, PLEASE NOTE - Payment can be made by cash or cheque only.
We will be camping on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th and then
leaving on Sunday to attend The Dreaming Spires event. The
obligitary BBQ and the main event will be held on the Saturday, and
unfortunately will be for campers only as there is no off road
parking, and we feel it would be dangerous for cars coming in and
out of the campsite with children and animals running around, and
also to respect the other non-caching campers.
