The A53
Adventure!
This is a series of six caches that stretch along the A53
between Shrewsbury and Newcastle-under-Lyme. Their are clues in
each of the 6 "standard" caches which lead to a bonus cache, which
is located at the Newcastle end.
The clues take the form of a letter = number and a phrase. The
phrase is designed to help you towards the bonus cache - and find
out a little mmore about the area - a map will help you understand
some of these more!
The 6 caches are (from Shrewsbury):

The bonus cache is "Lager 'n' Lymes"
The inspiration for this series was Mr Team_Tanner's drive to
work each day, as he teaches in Newcastle - and regularly passes
most of these locations.
Each of the 6 initial caches is situated close to a convenient
parking space, and should be easily found. The bonus is approx .75
miles from the co-ordinates listed on the entry.
Enjoy the Caches!
This cache is loated in Whitmore, home of the Mainwaring family and
is opposite the former "Manners" cafe and restaurant. This is the
closest cache to the bonus also. Parking is available on the road,
or in the Mainwaring Arms car park. You don't need to go through
any gates to get the cache.
Whilst at this cache take time to walk around the church - can
sometimes visit the hall also - entrance off main road. Can also
recommend the pub for food and drink - may even be serving lobby or
oatcakes, local delicacies!!!!
