Recommend you approach from the street above the cache, since the trail from the State Park beach parking is closed off to use in 2013. See alternate parking coordinates on this page. The park fee is $10 per car if you don't have a State Park Pass and this is a nice beach to enjoy while you are here, with nice facilities, a new visitor's center/museum and great campground.
The cache is located above the cliffs with views all around of many things, including all of China Beach. This area is relatively flat and you do not need to try anything dangerous to find the cache. You will get views of another beach if you keep walking further up the trail and will perhaps discover more things of interest.
To find the cache, look near an offshoot of main trail. Please put the rocks back on top to keep the weather from dislodging the cache from it's hiding spot. Thanks!
Note: CITO is highly encouraged at this beach.
Congratulations to 50sumtin who was FTF and critique this cache on 5/25/06!
