Water Toys used to be part of a series of Progressive Sequential Caches of which there were five parts. As you finished each cache, you would find the coordinates for the next cache on the inside cover of the log book. Unfortunately this park became overrun with muggles and made maintenance unwieldy. Whenever a cache in the series went missing, the series went down. Since the cache series was a legacy caching adventure in Charlotte, being originally placed in May 2006, I didn’t want to archive the whole thing.
Now I have posted the actual coordinates of the caches on their webpages. Unfortunately I couldn't change the coords for this cache to the actuals, since there were nearby caches, so I have posted them in the text. If you want to stick true to the series, then do them in order using the coordinates on the log book cover! The series included: COLONEL’S BARRACKS (archived), JEWELRY BOX, REPTILE HOUSE, PUZZLER, & WATER TOYS. All caches are ammo boxes.
This Park was opened in 1999. There are great playgrounds for the kids near the softball fields, and some excellent walking trails around the lake and throughout the park. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, and softball fields. Mountain bike trails run through every nook and cranny of the woods.
**** Therapaint adopted the cache series from the original owner, jjb79792, and maintained it for ~2 years. BBA adopted it from him in Jan 2010. The series was turned into standard caches by BBA in April 2013.
