Geocache Description:

TLC

There must be several ways to access this cache (as we saw a 2WD vehicle at the camp ... although we don't know the easy way as we came down the Woodline track from Burra Rocks which is 4WD only for those wanting to see some history.

There used to be hundreds of kilometres of tramways around Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie/Boulder to supply the mining centres with fuel and timber for operations. Steam was the only power source and lots of wood was required to power everything from electricity, water pumps and even to haul the ore from the mines. It has been estimated that 350,000 tonnes were used annually for a period of about 65 years. The main camp area was originally at Burra Rocks 1928. But by 1932 had to be relocated to Cave Hill which is the largest and most magnificent granite monolith within 500kms.

A walk to the top for some great views will have you awestruck. There are lots of good camping areas around the rock and toilets have been provided. Take the track on the southern side of the rock to the views from the top. Take the walk on northern side of the rock to lead you to the Cave, Wave and the cache.

On the first to find issue as always with our caches there is the usual FTF Collectors Card but from this series on we have come into possession of a large quantity FTF Ammo Box enamel pins.
