Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the Bear Mountain Hiking Trail system west of Barry's Bay.

When we use the trail we park our car around N45 31.557 W077 53.640 on the side of the highway.
The trail entrance is on the south side of Highway 60 through a small break in the trees. You'll find signs nailed to a tree right beside the entrance listing loop distances and a warning about hiking during the month of November as hunting season is in full swing.
Original cache contents include plush Tweety book, Tweety foil stickers, baby Loony Toons stickers, Tweety stickers, Tweety pencils, log book, camera and travel bug "Tweety's High Flying Adventure." The Tweety theme is because this is the launch location for the Tweety Travel Bug. Please feel free to deviate from the Tweety theme when leaving items. Take a picture of your cache group with the camera too. The trail runs through some rough yet scenic country and through various forest types. It also includes some fantastic cliff side views.
According to the Walking Tours of Renfrew County and Area guide book, the trail was established by the Association for Community Promotion in Barry's Bay. It originally had picnic sites and rest spots but these have fallen to ruin.
The cache is on the first loop off the main trail about 1.5 km back.
The trail system consists of a series of loops that go much further back than the first loop on which the cache is located but the guide book says "Caution: The latter half of this trail may be very difficult to find and follow."
