The cache is SW of Socorro, NM in open high desert at 5,600 foot. This is our first cache. Drive on dirt roads and then hike to the cache. No trail, you'll need to bushwhack around low desert plants and rocks. Don't forget good hiking shoes and water.
Cache is located on BLM land in a tupperware container with trade items, logbook and pens.
Go west of Socorro on US 60 and turn south on the "Shrine Loop", a maintained gravel road at N34 00.268, W106 58.584. At N33 58.204, W106 57.233 there's a turnoff to the west. The road west gets worse so park here or drive up to the gate if you have a high clearance vehicle. You can park on either side of the gate but please close it after going through. You can drive further but not to the cache, hiking is fun. Go up the arroyo until it breaks out into a larger valley. Use your GPS from here to locate the cache.
